Project for Design for Impact
As women, we are all challenged by
the society of men controlling our body autonomy.
As women, we are emotionally, physically
connected to our feminine organs.
As women, we are not allow to speak
for our feminine organs.
As women, we are living in the shadow
society trying to put above us.
As women, this time we say

“Women have served all these centuries
as looking glasses possessing the magic
and delicious power of reflecting
the figure of man at twice its natural size.”
-Virginia Woolf, A Room of One's Own
Why are we still living under
the gender shamed shadows?
This project
is inspired by the talented female artists that capture the unique beauty of women. and the flowers in mother nature
that symbolized the female bodies.
By using the colour pink with natural dye as a gender stereotype colour, and lace fabrics as a symbol that we are still living under the gender shamed shadow and trapped in male gaze.
This project is aiming to speak out loud that
we simply want the basic right of
equality in gender.
Why
are we
still trapped
in
male gaze?

When women start to speak,
leaving the figure in the mirror shrinking back to the actual size,
finding after all,
we are all the same,
just humans.
